Skills and Achievements

Employment History

Ezy-Designs – August 2009 to Present – Founder

Ezy-Designs is an E-Bay shop offering embroidery services that I manage in my free time whilst a University. I am also developing a priority database system that rivals that of larger established system.

McGregor's – November 2008 to September 2009 – Digital artist and IT Technician

My primary duties at McGregor's, another embroidery company, were predominantly the digitization of customers artwork which included making design decisions on prominent brands and as an IT Technician for the system, streamlining development cycles and querying hardware problems. I managed much of the workflow and introduced various systems to increase productivity and communication within the company.

WorkWear House – June 2008 to September 2008– Personalization Assistant

WorkWear House is an online workwear distributer that also offers personalization in the forms of embroidery or heat pressing on garments. My duties included digitization of text and artwork, answering queries for customers, managing artwork based orders from start to finish and running samples on the embroidery machines. As it was a small company I had to manage many things whilst hitting numerous deadlines in a claustrophobic environment. I was made redundant due to the companies’ closure.

Freelance Work – 2005 to Present

I have in my spare time been acting as a freelance web designer, writer, graphic designer and 3D modeler for various individuals and companies including the amateur game development community.

Qualifications and Training

BA Hons Computer and Video Games with Art Foundation– 2009 to 2013

I am studying on this course as both an aid to my digital and traditional skills. I have received an unconditional offer with a first year of an art foundation, due to my last course being so sub-par.

ABC Foundation Studies in Art and Media – 2008 to 2009 – Pass Grade

My study on the foundation in art was mostly to help improve my traditional art skills, though I didn’t find the course taught me much in the area of Art. For example they never touched colour theory or perspective and only started life drawing a month before leaving.

BTEC National in Games Development – 2006 to 2008 – Triple Distinction Grade

This course helped me refine my already present digital art skills. Due to my previous experience with digital art, predominantly video game development I was able to over the expectations. I regularly helped and taught both students and teachers in their understanding of the skills applicable.
